Skyeblanc Certification is a third-party certification body. Organisations engage us to audit their management systems against an ISO standard and, where the evidence supports it, to issue a certificate that others can rely on — customers, regulators, and partners.
Everything we do is built to one standard: ISO/IEC 17021-1, the international requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems. It governs how we are structured, how we manage impartiality, how our auditors are made competent, and how certification decisions are reached.
A certificate is only as good as the independence behind it. We are organised so that the people who audit you never decide your outcome, and so that no commercial interest can influence a certification decision. That is the whole point of a certification body — and the reason we do one thing, and only one thing.
Impartiality is not a promise — it is a structure. Three mechanisms keep our decisions free of influence.
An independent committee safeguards our impartiality — reviewing conflicts, monitoring for threats, and holding authority to challenge decisions that risk it. It includes voices representing the interests that certification serves.
The certification decision is made by a competent person who took no part in your audit. Auditors gather evidence; they do not grant certification. This separation is required, and we never blur it.
We do not design, document, implement or improve the systems we audit — and we never will. Offering consultancy to a certification client is prohibited by ISO/IEC 17021-1, and it is a line we do not approach.
Auditor competence is managed to ISO/IEC 17021-3. Every auditor is qualified for the specific scheme and sector they assess — never assigned beyond it.
Auditors are selected against defined criteria for education, work and audit experience, and standard-specific knowledge.
Competence is granted per scheme and technical area. An auditor is only assigned where their competence covers your scope.
Performance is monitored through witnessed audits and file review, with feedback fed back into competence records.
Auditors maintain and extend competence as standards evolve — records are kept current and available to assessors.
We deliver certification audits globally — on-site and through ICT-assisted remote auditing conforming to IAF MD4. Multi-site organisations are audited by a sampling approach under IAF MD1, and transfers from other accredited bodies are handled under IAF MD2.
Our public information is maintained in every region where we operate, and our platform is built for additional languages as we grow.
Skyeblanc Certification audits and certifies. It does not advise, consult, or prepare organisations for certification, and it operates as a separate business with its own governance and identity. That separation is what makes our certificate worth holding.
